Our 8,000+ team is drawn from diverse backgrounds and professions. With operations across six core countries in Africa, we make farmers more prosperous by providing quality farm supplies on credit, delivered within walking distance of farmers’ homes, and agricultural training to improve harvests. On average, the farmers we serve harvest 50 percent more food after working with One Acre Fund.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Staff Care Specialist

About the Role

  • The Staff Care Associate/Specialist oversees the management and administration of staff benefits, ensuring compliance with policies and promoting employee welfare.
  • You will provide support with inquiries, contracts, and offboarding, while safeguarding confidentiality and maintaining operational efficiency.
  • Additionally, you will contribute to process improvements and strategic HR initiatives to enhance systems and services.
  • You will be a part of global HR staff care team and will report directly to the Staff Care Manager.
  • This role is a hybrid role based in one of our program countries HQ.

Responsibilities

  • Manage health insurance plans including enrollment, renewals, and sourcing new vendors when needed.
  • Administer other staff benefits ensuring compliance with policies.
  • Respond to staff queries by interpreting policies and labor laws for applicable circumstances and staff welfare.
  • Ensure HR Data accuracy through timely onboarding and offboarding of employees
  • Maintain google sheets tools through regular tool health checks
  • Support strategic initiatives by leading special projects to advance gHR process, systems, and service offerings

Qualifications
Across all roles, these are the general qualifications we look for. For this role specifically, you will have:

  • Candidates should possess minimum of an HND qualification
  • 5 years of experience in HR, Project Management, or other relevant fields.
  • Project management and execution skills
  • The ability to interpret policy and balance organizational and staff interests
  • Google sheets expertise (Google AppScript a plus)
  • The ability to work across diverse stakeholders to deliver results
  • English required in all locations.
