Havenhill Synergy Limited a clean-tech utility company that uses Solar Energy to generate clean, safe, cost-effective and sustainable electricity in rural and urban Nigeria. Havenhill is set to scale up her “end blackout” projects in rural communities by establishing several solar hybrid mini-grids and developing significant footprints in the commercial and industrial space.  

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Quality Assurance / Quality Control Associate

Job Description

  • The Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Associate will play a vital role in upholding Havenhill’s commitment to excellence by ensuring that all our renewable energy projects, products, and services meet the highest quality and safety standards.
  • As a champion of quality, you will monitor, inspect, and verify project processes and deliverables, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, internal standards, and industry best practices.
  • This role will require a meticulous approach to detail, a strong understanding of quality management systems, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • This role involves extensive travel to project locations across the country, where you will conduct project inspections, document compliance and/or recommend improvements.
  • You will be instrumental in driving continuous improvement across our operations.

Responsibilities
Quality Assurance:

  • Develop and implement QA processes specific to electrical components and systems in solar projects.
  • Create, review, and update quality documentation, including quality manuals, procedures, and standards related to electrical systems.
  • Conduct internal audits to assess the effectiveness of QA processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with project design and engineering teams to ensure electrical quality standards are integrated throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Provide training and support to team members on QA procedures and electrical quality standards.

Quality Control:

  • Develop and implement QC procedures for inspecting and testing electrical components and systems in solar projects.
  • Perform routine inspections and tests on electrical installations and equipment to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Certify completed projects to ensure they meet quality standards before final handover
  • Document and report inspection results, including any deviations from quality standards.
  • Investigate and resolve quality issues and non-conformances, working with relevant departments to implement corrective actions.
  • Assess, monitor and review supplier quality performance for electrical components and coordinate supplier audits as necessary.
  • Maintain and calibrate QC equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.

Qualification/skills required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical engineering.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in quality assurance and quality control in an electrical engineering environment.
  • Knowledge of IEC standards
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems, standards (e.g., ISO 9001), and methodologies
  • Proficient in quality inspection and testing techniques.
  • Experience with quality auditing and root cause analysis.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and precision.
  • Proficient in using quality management software and tools.
  • Experience in the renewable energy sector is a plus
