Adewunmi Desalu Parkinson's Foundation (ADPF) is a non-profit committed to improving the lives of individuals and families affected by Parkinson's disease in Nigeria and Africa. ADPF raises awareness, promotes early detection and diagnosis, actively provides care and support to those living with the condition at no cost, and contributes towards research to find a cure.
ADPF is committed to promoting Africa within the global Parkinson’s disease ecosystem, having long been underserved and underrepresented. We recognise that increased advocacy, strategic planning and an innovative approach to managing the disease holistically are required to reach a significant number of people with much-needed help. Collaboration, innovation and impact underpin all of our initiatives; and our affiliations and partnerships - local and international - all attest to this.
