They are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Bread Baker

Location: Ikotun, Lagos

Job Summary

  • The Bread Baker is responsible for producing a variety of high-quality breads, including artisan, sourdough, whole-grain, and other specialty loaves.
  • This role involves mixing, shaping, proofing, and baking bread while ensuring consistency, flavor, and presentation.
  • The Bread Baker must adhere to recipes and standards, maintain a clean workspace, and meet production deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
Bread Production:

  • Measure and mix ingredients according to established recipes.
  • Shape dough into specific forms, such as rolls, loaves, or specialty designs.
  • Operate and maintain bakery equipment, including mixers, proofers, and ovens.
  • Monitor dough during proofing and baking processes to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in a variety of bread-baking techniques, including sourdough fermentation, enriched doughs, and artisan methods.

Quality Control:

  • Check finished products for quality, texture, and appearance, ensuring they meet standards.
  • Adjust recipes or processes as necessary to improve product quality.
  • Maintain consistency in size, shape, and flavor of bread.

Health and Safety Compliance:

  • Follow all food safety and hygiene standards, including proper handling of raw ingredients.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including daily sanitation of tools and equipment.
  • Monitor and store ingredients properly to ensure freshness and prevent contamination.

Inventory Management:

  • Assist with inventory checks to ensure adequate supply of baking ingredients.
  • Report any shortages or issues with ingredients or equipment to the supervisor.

Collaboration and Innovation:

  • Work closely with the bakery team to meet daily production goals.
  • Collaborate on developing new bread recipes or improving existing ones.
  • Take feedback from management and customers to enhance products.

Schedule and Efficiency:

  • Prepare dough and bread according to the production schedule, ensuring timely delivery of fresh products.
  • Manage baking times and adjust as needed to meet deadlines.
  • Minimize waste by efficiently managing ingredients and adhering to portion guidelines.

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess an OND qualification with 5 years experience.
