Job Title: Accountant

Description

• We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accountant to join our growing finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for a wide range of accounting functions, including financial reporting, accounts receivable/payable, and general ledger maintenance.
• You will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting:

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Ensure the accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions in the general ledger.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial accounts.
• Prepare and file various tax returns (e.g., sales tax, payroll taxes).

Accounts Receivable/Payable:

• Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing clients, tracking payments, and resolving any outstanding issues.
• Process accounts payable, including vendor invoices, expense reports, and supplier payments.

Payroll Processing:

• Assist with payroll processing, including calculating and processing employee salaries and wages, and ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

• Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Monitor actual results against budget and identify any variances.

Internal Controls:

• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records.

Other Duties as Assigned:

• Perform other accounting and financial duties as assigned by the Finance Manager or CFO.

Qualifications & Experience

• Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2 years of experience as an Accountant, preferably within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite 1 (Word, Excel).

Salary
N150,000 / Month.
