We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Financial Account Officer

Location: Benin, Edo
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support business planning and decision-making.
  • Accounts Management: Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections.
  • Bank Reconciliations: Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights and recommendations to management for strategic planning.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and timely filing of tax returns.
  • Internal Controls: Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.
  • Audit Preparation: Coordinate and prepare for internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
  • Financial Policies: Develop, implement, and monitor financial policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate financial information clearly and effectively to stakeholders, including management, investors, and regulatory bodies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., ICAN, CPA, ACCA) is preferred, Candidates without these are encouraged to apply.
  • Proven experience as a financial accountant or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in financial management softwares and MS Office (especially Excel).
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
