Job Title: Manager - Dimensional Control Inspector

Location: Nigeria
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Liaise with and advise the relevant Project Managers, Construction Managers and Engineering Manager on all dimensional control activities. Provide leadership and guidance for junior dimension control (DC) personnel.
• Undertake dimensional control checks on all critical assemblies in accordance with client requirements. Ensure all activities are undertaken in accordance with HSEQ Procedures.
• Direct and communicate with other team members, dimension controllers and manage on  the dimensional control problem and issues.
• Prepare Dimension Control Plans and develop associated Procedures. Maintain a register for calibrated DC equipment and follow-up with responsible persons for timely calibration of equipment due for calibration.
• Develop and implement Construction HAZID’s, risk assessment, job safety analysis and safe method of working
• Reviews bid documentations by highlighting the cost related to dimension control. Identifying non-standard practices and other potential areas of concern.
• Liaise with project management team, client, other department like Production, Planning and Engineering etc. to ensure critical dimension related risks and opportunities are communicated during bid & tendering, and project execution phase.
• Review and approve dimensional control reports, develop, and train the Dimension Control team on decision making and handling job conflicts.
• Responsible for interpretation of various codes, standards, and client specifications applicable for the job.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable information security policies & procedures.

Requirements

• B.Sc in Engineering related discipline 
• A minimum of 10 years’ experience in Projects Execution. Capable of operating Precision Instruments such as Total-Station, Theodolite, Dumpy Level, Spirit-Level etc. Able to work un- supervised. Knowledgeable in reading Structural, Piping, E & I and other related Drawings and Schematics.
• Knowledgeable in Industry Codes and Standards related to Structural, Process Piping and Pipelines. Must be proficient in the use of common PC Software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.). Read, 
• Write and Speak English fluently.
• Experience with Dimensional Control preferred.
• BOSIET / FOET and current Offshore Medical Certificate
• Qualified to travel offshore.
