Marsand Bespoke Joinery is a funriture company looking to recruit more staff to our expanding team, we manufacture and instal kitchen and bedroom cabinets to individuals and contractors.

Job Title: Driver

Location: Ajah, Lagos

Job Summary

• The Driver is responsible for safely transporting goods, materials, or passengers to designated locations in a timely manner.
• The role involves vehicle maintenance, adhering to traffic regulations, and providing excellent customer service when interacting with clients or passengers.

Key Responsibilities
Transportation Duties:

• Safely transport goods, materials, or passengers to assigned destinations.
• Plan and follow the most efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries.
• Load and unload goods, ensuring items are handled with care to prevent damage.

Vehicle Maintenance:

• Perform routine vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness, including checking oil, brakes, tires, and lights.
• Schedule and ensure regular servicing and maintenance of the vehicle.
• Report any mechanical issues or repairs needed to the supervisor promptly.

Compliance with Regulations:

• Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while driving.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license and ensure all required documents (e.g., insurance, registration) are up to date.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, trips, and mileage logs.
• Obtain necessary signatures or proof of delivery for completed tasks.
• Submit daily or weekly reports on activities and fuel consumption.

Customer Interaction:

• Provide courteous and professional service when interacting with clients or passengers.
• Handle any complaints or concerns with professionalism, escalating issues to the appropriate team when necessary.

Safety and Security:

• Ensure the safety of goods or passengers during transportation.
• Secure loads properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
• Follow safety protocols for handling hazardous materials (if applicable).

Qualifications and Requirements
Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

• Proven experience as a driver; familiarity with [specify vehicle type, e.g., trucks, vans, sedans] is preferred.
• Clean driving record with no major violations.

Skills:

• Excellent knowledge of local routes and navigation systems.
• Ability to operate GPS devices and other navigation tools.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Good physical stamina for loading/unloading (if required).
• Basic mechanical skills are a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit for long periods while driving.
• Occasional lifting or moving of goods (weight requirements may vary).
• Comfortable working in varying weather conditions.

Work Environment:

• Primarily vehicle-based with occasional office visits for reporting or briefings.
• Regular interaction with clients, passengers, or delivery personnel.

Salary
N100,000 - N150,000 per month
