Job Title: Health Safety and Environment (HSE) Manager

Job Profile
- Will be responsible for crafting and implementing the Health, Safety and Environment policies, procedures and practices of the company and ensure compliance with all legislations and the law
- Will be required to advise management on the implications of current and emerging health, safety and environment legislation and generate operational plans to ensure company-wide compliance
- Will design processes for proactively tracking and reporting non-compliance as well as oversee all locations to ensure accidents, environmental incidents and near misses are documented, reported, investigated and satisfactorily resolved
- Will oversee provision of induction, daily safety drills, training-of-trainer sessions, meeting facilitation on HSE and prepare scheduled reports on HSE culture and compliance on regular basis
Person Specifications
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Occupational Health, Safety & Environment (OSHE), Engineering or Social Sciences and related safety certifications. Up-to-date membership of acceptable professional bodies is an added advantage
- Demonstrable competence in OHSE, total quality management, project management, emotional intelligence, assertiveness, communications skills, teamwork
- Minimum of 10 years progressive related experience, five of which must have been as a team leader
