The Citizen Reports (TCR) is a registered trademark of The Citizen Journalists and Publicity Experts LTD, a media platform in Nigeria, with two branches: The Citizen Reports (English), an online newspaper that covers local, national, and international news, and TCR Hausa, an online newspaper and TV station that serves the Hausa-speaking audience in Nigeria and beyond. TCR is committed to delivering accurate, timely, and innovative media content to its audience, with a focus on providing in-depth news, analysis, and engaging multimedia experiences.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Female Reporter / Anchor

Location: Kano
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Research, write, and present news stories across both the English and Hausa platforms.
• Conduct interviews, field reports, and anchor live shows.
• Collaborate with editorial and production teams to create compelling news segments.
• Represent TCR at events and conferences as needed.
• Ensure that news content is accurate, balanced, and timely.
• Stay informed about local, national, and international news trends.

Qualifications & Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in journalism, media reporting, or a related field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Hausa.
• A strong presence on camera, with the ability to engage viewers.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
• A strong understanding of the media landscape in Nigeria.
• Previous experience in broadcasting or online media is an advantage.
