Job Title: Software & Hardware Integration Engineer

Location: Mowe Ibafo, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time, On-site

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Design and develop web and mobile applications interfacing with hardware devices.
  • Implement and optimize software solutions for hardware communication protocols.
  • Collaborate with hardware and firmware teams to debug and resolve integration issues.
  • Conduct testing to ensure compliance with protocol standards (e.g., DLMS, MQTT).
  • Write and review documentation for software-hardware integration workflows.
  • Support software validation processes and maintain development environments.

Core Requirements

  • Bachelor's/Master's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in software development and hardware integration (internships count).
  • Strong understanding of protocols like DLMS, MQTT, REST APIs, and LoRaWAN.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or C#.
  • Hands-on experience with web and mobile app development frameworks (e.g., React, Flutter, Angular).
  • Familiarity with hardware communication interfaces (e.g., UART, SPI, I2C) and debugging tools.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in cloud integration and edge computing for IoT devices.
  • Knowledge of real-time data processing and synchronization techniques.
  • Strong understanding of database systems (SQL/NoSQL) for IoT data management.
  • Experience with lab tools for hardware debugging and performance analysis.
  • Ability to work with version control systems like Git.

Additional Skills:

  • Experience with Agile development and DevOps tools.
  • Scripting for test automation and data analysis.
  • Familiarity with hardware simulation tools and basic PCB design concepts.
  • Strong technical communication and project collaboration skills.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with smart meter protocols like DLMS/COSEM.
  • Knowledge of RF communication (e.g., LoRa, Zigbee).
  • Familiarity with real-time systems and edge computing.
  • Hands-on experience with APIs for GPS and walkie-talkie integrations.
  • Previous involvement in IoT-related projects or deployments.
