Job Title: Software & Hardware Integration Intern

Location: Ogun
Employment Type: Internship

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and testing web and mobile applications that interface with hardware.
• Support integration of IoT protocols (e.g., MQTT, LoRaWAN, DLMS) into software solutions.
• Help document technical designs, procedures, and test results.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to validate software-hardware communication.
• Learn and utilize debugging tools for protocol validation and performance analysis.
• Maintain test environments for software-hardware integration.

Basic Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's/Master's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Coursework or projects involving web/mobile development, IoT devices, or hardware integration.
• Familiarity with communication protocols like MQTT, DLMS, LoRa, REST APIs, or WebSockets.
• Basic understanding of hardware interfaces (e.g., I2C, SPI, UART) and data exchange methods.
• Strong interest in software-hardware interfacing and IoT ecosystems.

Technical Background (Academic):

• Basic knowledge of embedded systems and IoT architecture.
• Familiarity with software tools for protocol analysis or debugging.
• Understanding of client-server communication and cloud integration.
• Exposure to database systems and backend technologies.
• Scripting abilities in Python, JavaScript, or shell scripting.

Nice to Have:

• Hands-on experience with IoT platforms (e.g., AWS IoT, Azure IoT, or Google IoT Core).
• Knowledge of FPGA or microcontroller programming.
• Experience with lab tools like logic analyzers or oscilloscopes.
• Familiarity with UI/UX tools for mobile and web development.
• Exposure to Agile project management practices.
