Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Operate power plant, electrical distribution system and Power Management System
- Perform condition monitoring and troubleshooting of power plant and electrical distribution system as per Computerised Maintenance Management System
- Perform maintenance of power plant, electrical distribution system and electrical equipment
- Perform maintenance of emergency power systems
- Maintain Ex rating of electrical equipment as per design
- Assist in pre-commissioning and commissioning
- Perform electrical spare parts and consumables stock control
- Liaise with other departments for coordination of maintenance activities
- Use the Permit to Work system. Prepare Permits, complete checklists and attachments. Follow the Permit to Work procedures
- Use the Computerized Maintenance Management System. Produce reports, update records, generate work orders
- Prepare required reports
- Ensure that vendors and contractors are managed safely and effectively
- Undertake training relevant to the position requirements
- On-the-job-training of colleagues and trainees
- Member of Emergency Response Team
Qualification Requirements
Education:
- Higher diploma / Degree in Electrical Engineering
Experience:
- Employer requires 5 years experience as an Electrician, preferably on offshore facilities or marine vessels
Skills:
- Good inter-personal and communications skills
- Good computer skills and knowledge of Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Other:
- Open to Nigerian Nationals only
