We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Tiler

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities
Preparing Surfaces:

• Clean, level, and smooth surfaces to ensure proper tile adhesion.
• Apply adhesives, mortar, or grout on surfaces.

Cutting and Fitting Tiles:

• Measure and cut tiles to fit specific areas using hand tools or power tools.
• Adjust tiles as needed to ensure they align properly.

Installing Tiles:

• Lay tiles in patterns or designs, ensuring even spacing and alignment.
• Press tiles firmly into place to adhere to the surface.

Grouting and Sealing:

• Fill the gaps between tiles with grout and smooth it to create a finished look.
• Apply sealants as necessary to protect the tiles and grout.

Quality Control:

• Inspect the work for defects or errors in alignment.
• Ensure that finished work meets project specifications and quality standards.

Maintenance:

• Clean and maintain tools and equipment.
• Repair or replace damaged tiles as needed during or after installation.

Safety and Compliance:

• Follow safety protocols and ensure a clean, safe working environment.
• Adhere to building codes, industry standards, and environmental guidelines.

Skills & Qualifications

• Interested candidates should possess an FSLC / HND / OND qualification with 5-10 years work experience.
• Technical skills: Ability to cut and lay tiles with precision and accuracy.
• Physical stamina: Capable of lifting heavy materials and working in physically demanding conditions.
• Attention to detail: Ensuring tiles are laid properly with uniformity.
• Problem-solving skills: Adjusting tile layouts and designs to work with irregular spaces.
