Job Summary

  • The CDP Country Manager will lead all country-level operations, including technical implementation, administration, and oversight.
  • The Country Manager will be responsible for accomplishing established project objectives and performance targets by overseeing project performance, identifying opportunities to improve programming, and fostering an active learning environment for project staff and partners.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

  • Nigeria citizenship or residency with work authorization required.
  • Bachelor's degree in agronomy, agricultural business, livestock management, dairy science, international development, business, economics, or a similar field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of work experience, preferably related to managing international development projects, cooperative development, dairy sector development, or livestock sector development.
  • Proven track record implementing donor-funded projects, such as USAID.
  • Technical knowledge related to cooperative development and/or dairy management strongly preferred.
  • Experience directly supervising and coordinating multi-level staff.
  • Experience coordinating effectively with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience working with the private sector strongly preferred.
  • Experience directly supervising and coordinating project Monitoring and Evaluation activities.
  • Prior experience with USAID administrative and procurement practices required.
  • Professional fluency in Microsoft® suite, English, and common local languages.
  • Excellent communication and writing abilities and superior interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.
