We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Maintenance Engineer - Mechanical

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Job Type: Permanent/Full time

Job Description

  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies and schedules for all mechanical equipment, including pumps, compressors, turbines, pipelines, valves, heat exchangers, and other mechanical systems.
  • Conduct regular inspections, predictive, and preventive maintenance to minimize unplanned downtime.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, providing rapid solutions to minimize operational interruptions.
  • Develop and implement reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) programs to enhance asset integrity and extend equipment life.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) of mechanical failures and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Assist in planning, budgeting, and execution of mechanical maintenance projects, including shutdowns, turnarounds, and upgrades.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards (API, ASME, ISO, etc.), local regulations, and environmental requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical maintenance that is in line experience in static and rotating equipment such as Pumps, generators, instrument Air Compressors. compressors scrubber, KOD, pressure vessels etc.
  • Certification in maintenance management (e.g., Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional - CMRP) is an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems commonly found in upstream oil and gas operations, including rotating and static equipment.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as API, ASME, NACE, and ISO related to mechanical equipment maintenance and integrity.
  • Strong experience with CMMS (e.g., SAP, Maximo) and proficiency in scheduling software.
  • Proven track record in resource management, work order management, and planning of preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • In-depth understanding of maintenance processes and equipment in oil and gas production facilities.
  • Knowledge of rotating and static equipment, electrical systems, instrumentation, and control systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
