Job Title: Kitchen Manager

Location: Ibeju Lekki, Lagos

Job Summary

  • As the Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen, including food preparation, staff management, inventory control, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • You will work closely with the executive chef and other departments to ensure seamless kitchen operations, excellent guest satisfaction, and efficient cost control.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate all kitchen staff, ensuring high performance and efficiency.
  • Oversee food preparation, presentation, and quality control to meet resort standards.
  • Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs to optimize profitability.
  • Develop and maintain food safety and hygiene standards in compliance with health regulations.
  • Create staff schedules, manage training, and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Collaborate with chefs to develop menus, introduce new dishes, and enhance the guest experience.
  • Ensure the kitchen operates within budget while maintaining exceptional food quality.
  • Monitor equipment maintenance and ensure kitchen facilities remain in top condition.
  • Handle guest feedback and resolve kitchen-related concerns effectively.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager, in a high-end resort, hotel, or restaurant.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen operations, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management, cost control, and budgeting.
  • Culinary degree or relevant certifications are preferred.
