Job Title: Chef de Partie (Bakery)

Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Job Summary

  • Our client is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Chef de Partie (Bakery) to oversee the daily operations of our bakery department. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and producing high-quality baked goods, managing inventory, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Bakery Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the bakery department, ensuring that all baked goods are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Recipe Development: Develop and implement new recipes for baked goods, ensuring that they are innovative, delicious, and meet customer expectations.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control costs to ensure that the bakery department operates efficiently and effectively.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and train a team of bakers and pastry cooks to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
  • Food Safety and Hygiene: Ensure that the bakery department operates in compliance with all relevant food safety and hygiene regulations and standards.
  • Customer Service: Ensure that customers receive exceptional service and that their culinary needs are met.

Requirements

  • Qualifications: Diploma or Degree in Culinary Arts, Baking and Pastry Arts, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Chef de Partie (Bakery) or a related role in a high-end bakery, restaurant, or hotel with a specialty in English pastries.

Skills:

  • Excellent baking and pastry skills.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation.
  • Certifications: Food Safety Certification, HACCP Certification, or other relevant certifications.
