We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Junior Welding Inspector

Location: Ikorodu, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Welding Inspector (Fabrication) is responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of welding operations in a fabrication setting.
  • This role involves inspecting welds, verifying compliance with codes and standards, and providing guidance to welding personnel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Weld Inspection: Conduct visual and non-destructive testing (NDT) inspections of welds to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and specifications.
  • Code Compliance: Verify that welding operations meet the requirements of relevant codes and standards, such as ASME, AWS, and API.
  • Welding Procedure Qualification: Review and qualify welding procedures to ensure they meet code requirements.
  • Welder Qualification: Conduct welder qualification tests to ensure welders meet code requirements.
  • Non-Destructive Testing (NDT): Perform NDT inspections, such as radiography, ultrasonic testing, and magnetic particle testing.

Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in welding engineering, metallurgy, or a related field preferred.
  • Certifications: AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or ASNT Level II certification in NDT methods required.
  • Experience: 5-10 years of experience in welding inspection, fabrication, or a related field.
