As we scale, we are seeking a detail-oriented Finance, Accounting, and Reconciliation Officer to manage financial reporting, transaction reconciliations, and accounting functions.

Job Title: Finance, Accounting and Reconciliations Officer

Role Overview
- The Finance, Accounting, and Reconciliation Officer will oversee financial operations, ensure accurate record-keeping, and manage reconciliation of financial transactions.
- This role is crucial in ensuring financial integrity, optimizing cash flows, maintaining compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards, and supporting financial administration functions.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Management:
- Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and reports in compliance with accounting standards.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
- Support tax compliance, audits, and regulatory filings.
Reconciliation & Financial Controls:
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of transactions, bank accounts, and digital payment records.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial records and payment settlements.
- Ensure accuracy in multi-currency transactions and foreign exchange reconciliations.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to rectify reconciliation variances.
Financial Administration:
- Facilitate administrative payments, vendor disbursements, and payroll processing.
- Assist in preparing for internal and external audits by ensuring proper documentation and compliance.
- Maintain financial records and support compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Provide financial reports to management and support data-driven decision-making.
Process Optimization & Compliance:
- Implement and refine financial controls to mitigate risk and improve accuracy.
- Support compliance with AML, KYC, and other regulatory requirements in financial reporting.
- Assist in system automation efforts for financial tracking and reconciliation.
- Generate periodic financial reports and provide insights on cash flow trends.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in financial management, accounting, or reconciliation roles.
- Professional certifications such as ACCA, ICAN, CPA, or CFA are a plus.
- Experience in fintech, payments, or financial services is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Netsuite) and reconciliation tools.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Ability to manage multiple financial operations efficiently.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial data analysis tools.
Salary Range
N500,000 - N750,000 / month.
