Job Title: Project Manager - Fintech Startup

Job Summary

  • The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of fintech solutions at Payaccess Systems Limited. This includes monitoring the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with CBN regulations and industry best practices, and ensuring that the team adheres to industry standards.
  • The role requires a highly experienced fintech professional with at least 8+ years of experience in fintech project management, product development, and regulatory compliance.

Job Discription

  • Develop a comprehensive project roadmap for the development and deployment of fintech products (payment gateway, mobile money transfer, and payroll system).
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables aligned with business objectives.
  • Coordinate and oversee the end-to-end development process, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Implement Agile, Scrum, or other project management methodologies to drive efficient development cycles.
  • Ensure full compliance with CBN regulations, NDIC, NIBSS, and other relevant financial industry regulations.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies (CBN, NIBSS, EFCC, NDIC, etc.) to obtain necessary approvals and licenses.
  • Work closely with legal and compliance teams to ensure all fintech products meet national and international financial security standards (e.g., PCI-DSS, AML, KYC).
  • Oversee the development of fintech products (payment gateway, mobile money, payroll system) ensuring they are built according to industry standards.
  • Work closely with developers and product teams to prioritize features and maintain alignment with business objectives.
  • Report directly to the Group Managing Director (GMD) on project progress, challenges, and milestones.
  • Collaborate with Payaccess Systems Limited leadership, IT teams, finance, and compliance teams to ensure seamless execution of projects.
  • Facilitate communication between different departments to ensure project goals are met efficiently.
  • Manage project budgets and ensure resources are allocated efficiently.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks related to project development.
  • Implement robust cybersecurity and fraud prevention measures for fintech products.
  • Establish risk assessment and mitigation strategies to prevent financial fraud.
