Job Title: Fashion Illustrator

Location: Ikota, Lekki - Ajah, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities
Design Development:

  • Conceptualize and create original designs for apparel and accessories in alignment with the brand's vision.
  • Develop sketches, illustrations, and prototypes for collections.
  • Select fabrics, materials, and embellishments for designs.

Collection Development:

  • Plan and curate seasonal collections that reflect current market trends and consumer demands.
  • Ensure collections are cohesive and consistent with the brand’s identity.
  • Collaborate with production teams to translate designs into finished products.

Trend Analysis:

  • Monitor global fashion trends, consumer preferences, and competitor activities.
  • Research and forecast upcoming trends in color, fabric, and style.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work with tailors, pattern makers, and other production staff to ensure design feasibility.
  • Present concepts and designs to management for approval and feedback.
  • Coordinate with the sales and marketing teams for collection launches and campaigns.

Market Research:

  • Analyze market data to identify opportunities for new designs and product categories.
  • Stay updated on customer feedback and adapt designs accordingly.

Quality Control:

  • Ensure all designs meet quality standards and align with brand expectations.
  • Review samples and prototypes for fit, construction, and overall aesthetic.

Skills and Qualifications
Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, or a related field.
  • Certification in fashion software tools (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop) is a plus.

Experience:

  • 2–3 years of experience in a fashion design role, preferably in a similar setting.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in design software and tools for sketches and renderings.
  • Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrics, and textiles.
  • Knowledge of fashion trend forecasting and market analysis.

Soft Skills:

  • Creativity and innovation to develop unique and marketable designs.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Teamwork and collaboration skills to work effectively with various departments.

Salary
N250,000 - N350,000 per month.
