Job Title: Junior Retail Buyer

Location: Gbagada, Lagos

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in identifying and selecting products that align with market demand and company goals.
• Conduct preliminary market research to analyze consumer trends, pricing, and competitor activities.
• Support negotiations with suppliers on pricing, quality, and delivery schedules.
• Monitor stock levels and support the replenishment process to prevent shortages or overstocking.
• Maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure a smooth procurement process.
• Collaborate with merchandising and sales teams to track product performance and make recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and budget constraints.
• Assist in preparing reports on purchasing trends, supplier performance, and cost analyses.
• Stay informed about new products and market developments through industry research.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in procurement, retail buying, or a related role.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Good communication and negotiation abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and procurement software.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Knowledge of retail market trends and consumer behavior.
• Experience with inventory management software and ERP systems.

Salary
N150,000 - N180,000 monthly.
