Job Title: Kitchen Assistant - Grill Section

Location: Lagos

Responsibilities

• Assist the Grill Chef in cooking a variety of meats, fish, and vegetables on the grill to meet the restaurant's standards for taste, quality, and presentation.
• Prepare ingredients and mise en place for grill items, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and portioning food.
• Ensure all grilling equipment, utensils, and surfaces are cleaned and sanitized regularly.
• Monitor the grill to ensure food is cooked to the correct temperature and consistency.
• Assist in portion control and plating of dishes.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all health and safety guidelines.
• Help with stock rotation, ensuring that all ingredients are stored correctly and used in a timely manner.
• Support the rest of the kitchen team during busy periods, ensuring smooth operations.
• Handle food waste appropriately and ensure proper disposal procedures are followed.
