Job Summary

  • The Assistant Production Manager will support the Production Manager in overseeing the daily operations and manufacturing processes for the production of Mshel building blocks and machinery.
  • They will assist in coordinating production schedules, monitoring quality control, troubleshooting issues, and helping to optimize production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Production Manager in leading the manufacturing team and overseeing all aspects of the production process
  • Help develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand and delivery timelines
  • Monitor production activities and identify opportunities to improve workflow, productivity, and quality
  • Assist in the implementation of quality control measures and protocols to ensure products meet specifications
  • Troubleshoot equipment problems and collaborate with maintenance teams to resolve issues quickly
  • Provide training and guidance to production staff on proper operating procedures and safety protocols
  • Analyze production data and provide reports on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to the Production Manager
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as Purchasing, Inventory to coordinate production needs
  • Recommend process improvements and contribute ideas to enhance overall operational efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  • 2 - 3 years of experience in the production of blocks and troubleshooting of machinery 
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with the production team
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Familiarity with machinery operations and maintenance procedures
