Job Description

  • We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to oversee all financial activities, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive financial strategy.
  • The ideal candidate will manage budgeting, financial reporting, risk management, and internal controls to support the company’s growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements, reports, and forecasts.
  • Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, financial reporting standards, and company policies.
  • Monitor cash flow, revenue, and expenditures to optimize financial performance.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Track financial performance against budgets and provide variance analysis.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
  • Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Support business growth by analyzing investment opportunities and financial risks.
  • Develop financial models to evaluate business decisions and strategies.
  • Supervise and mentor the finance team to enhance performance and efficiency.
  • Implement best practices in financial management and corporate governance.

Key Requirements

  • B.Sc / HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field (Master’s degree is an advantage).
  • Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, CFA, or equivalent) is required.
  • 5 - 7 years of experience in financial management, preferably in real estate or a related sector.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, tax laws, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, ERP systems).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
