Job Title: School Counsellor

About the Role
As our School Counselor, you will play a vital role in supporting the emotional, social, and academic growth of our students. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Individual Counseling: Providing confidential counseling to students facing academic, social, emotional, or behavioral challenges.
• Group Counseling: Facilitating group sessions on topics such as stress management, conflict resolution, and social skills.
• Crisis Intervention: Responding to and managing student crises, including mental health emergencies.
• Consultation: Collaborating with teachers, parents, and administrators to support student well-being.
• Prevention Programs: Developing and implementing programs to promote mental health awareness and prevent bullying, substance abuse, and other harmful behaviors.
• Referral Services: Connecting students and families with external resources, such as therapists or community support organizations.
• Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate and confidential records of student interactions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Counseling, School Counseling, or a related field.
• 2 years of experience.
• Licensure or certification as a School Counselor (preferred).
• Experience working with children or adolescents in a school or clinical setting.
• Strong understanding of child and adolescent development.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and listening skills.
• Ability to build rapport with students, parents, and staff.
• Knowledge of ethical and legal guidelines for school counselors.
