Role Overview
- We are seeking a strategic and experienced Senior Content Marketing Lead with a strong focus on written content.
- In this role, you will own the creation, planning, and optimization of all written content that drives our brand narrative and engages our B2B audience.
- You will work closely with marketing, product, and design teams to develop high-quality, impactful content such as blog posts, articles, whitepapers, case studies, and more.
- This role requires exceptional writing and editing skills, a strategic mindset, and the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, persuasive copy.
Key Responsibilities
Content Strategy & Planning:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive content marketing strategy focused primarily on written content that aligns with Flex Finance’s brand and business goals.
- Create and maintain an editorial calendar that supports marketing initiatives, product launches, and thought leadership efforts.
- Identify key topics and content opportunities that address the pain points and interests of our B2B audience.
Content Creation & Production:
- Write, edit, and optimize high-quality written content, including blog posts, long-form articles, whitepapers, case studies, and other marketing collateral.
- Ensure all content is consistent in voice, tone, and style, and is optimized for SEO and user engagement.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts across the organization to develop content that is both informative and compelling.
Team Leadership & Collaboration:
- Lead and mentor any existing or future content contributors, fostering a culture of creativity, excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Work collaboratively with the Marketing, Product, and Design teams to ensure that written content is integrated with other marketing efforts and visual storytelling.
- Act as a key liaison in cross-functional projects, ensuring that content initiatives are aligned with broader business objectives.
Performance Analysis & Optimization:
- Monitor and analyze the performance of written content using analytics tools and SEO metrics.
- Use data-driven insights to refine content strategies, improve engagement, and drive better conversion rates.
- Continuously experiment with new ideas, formats, and approaches to elevate the quality and effectiveness of our written communications.
Brand Storytelling & Thought Leadership:
- Craft clear and compelling narratives that establish Flex Finance as a thought leader in spend management and fintech.
- Ensure that all written content not only informs but also engages and inspires our target B2B audience.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in content marketing, with a strong focus on creating and managing written content.
- Proven track record in developing content strategies and executing high-quality written content in a B2B environment; experience in fintech or financial services is highly desirable.
Technical & Creative Skills:
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with impeccable attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using content management systems (CMS) and familiarity with SEO best practices.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret content performance data and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Ability to simplify complex topics and translate technical information into accessible, engaging content.
Leadership & Interpersonal Skills:
- Demonstrated experience in leading or mentoring content teams or freelancers.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
