Job Title: Integration & Engineering Personnel

Location: Abuja

Job Summary

  • The Integration & Engineering Personnel will be responsible for backend development, core product improvement, and systems integration to support the Decent Work Initiative (DWI) for Young Nigerians. 
  • This role will focus on building scalable, high-performance systems, ensuring seamless API integrations, and enhancing core product functionality. 
  • The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, including system implementation, web development, and business operations, to deliver cutting-edge digital solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend systems using C#/.NET Core, PHP, and Laravel.
  • Implement RESTful APIs, OAuth, and SOAP for seamless system integration.
  • Enhance core product functionalities, ensuring high performance, security, and scalability.
  • Develop and optimize plugins for CMS platforms like WordPress, Drupal, and Umbraco.
  • Utilize test-driven development (TDD) methodologies to ensure software quality and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration challenges, ensuring smooth data flow between systems.
  • Collaborate with frontend developers to ensure seamless UI/UX experiences.
  • Implement best practices for code optimization, security, and maintainability.
  • Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers to maintain high coding standards.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and integration methodologies to enhance development efficiency.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in backend development with expertise in C#/.NET Core, PHP, Laravel, and API development.
  • Strong understanding of system integration methodologies, including REST, OAuth, and SOAP.
  • Experience in test-driven development (TDD) for software quality assurance.
  • Hands-on experience with plugin creation and customization for WordPress, Drupal, or Umbraco.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and debug complex system integrations.
  • Experience working in multifunctional teams to ensure strategic alignment and delivery excellence.
  • Knowledge of security best practices in API development and system integration.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based services and DevOps practices is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
