We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Financial Accountant

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full Time

Job Profile

  • As the Financial Accountant working with other stakeholders, you will provide management oversight to ensure accuracy and integrity of business office operations including taxes, payables, and safeguarding of company’s assets.

The functions are as summarized below:

  • Manage all accounting operations including A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition working with other stakeholders
  • Research technical accounting issues for compliance and its application to company’s transactions
  • Support month-end and year-end close process
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
  • Provision of necessary supervision over the payables function.
  • Create and monitor a system of control, procedures, and form a record of fixed assets and all relevant schedules in the company’s ERP and also in preparation for the audit
  • Document and maintain all support on the costing drivers and pricing on key new opportunities
  • Ensure that the company is following all financial regulations and compliant with all laws and regulations as it affects the company
  • Provide support in the review of contracts to ensure alignment with required standards
  • Work with internal and external auditors for different compliance and regulatory exercises

Requirements

  • First Degree in Accounting or related course.
  • Professional certifications like ICAN is an added advantage

Salary

  • N300,000 per month.
