Job Title: Truck Driver

Location: Lagos

Responsibilities

• Operate trucks to transport goods to various destinations according to delivery schedules.
• Ensure all routes are followed safely, while observing road safety laws and regulations.
• Transport cargo in a secure manner, ensuring no damage occurs during transit.

Vehicle Maintenance and Inspections:

• Perform daily inspections of the truck, including tires, brakes, lights, and fluid levels before starting the journey.
• Maintain cleanliness of the truck, both inside and out.
• Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs to management or maintenance team.

Cargo Handling:

• Load and unload cargo, ensuring it is properly secured and balanced.
• Handle specialized freight (if required) in accordance with regulations (e.g., hazardous materials, temperature-sensitive goods).
• Keep records of the cargo, including inventory and delivery logs.

Compliance with Regulations:

• Adhere to all local, state, and federal driving regulations and road safety laws.
• Comply with weight restrictions, permits, and hazardous material handling rules where applicable.
• Ensure all necessary documentation (e.g., bills of lading, delivery receipts) is completed and filed accurately.

Customer Service:

• Interact with clients and customers, maintaining a professional and courteous attitude.
• Provide timely updates regarding delivery status or delays.
• Assist with any customer concerns or special delivery requirements.
