We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Storekeeper

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Contract

Job Summary

  • We are seeking an IT student or intern to assist in managing and maintaining inventory in our store.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for tracking stock levels, ensuring proper documentation, and utilizing inventory management software to streamline operations.
  • This role provides valuable hands-on experience in inventory control and warehouse management, integrating IT skills to improve efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in receiving, inspecting, and storing incoming stock and supplies.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management software.
  • Monitor stock levels and notify the supervisor of low inventory or discrepancies.
  • Organize and label stored items to ensure easy retrieval.
  • Assist in issuing and dispatching materials as per requests.
  • Generate inventory reports and support data entry tasks.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and improving inventory tracking systems.
  • Ensure the store area is clean, organized, and secure.
  • Support audits and stock-taking activities.
  • Collaborate with IT and logistics teams to improve inventory processes.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Degree / Diploma in IT, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1 - 2 years of experience.
  • Basic knowledge of inventory management software or willingness to learn.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) is an advantage.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
