Job Summary

  • We are looking to fill the role of Production Manager/ Cinematographer.

Role Overview

  • We are looking for an experienced Cinematographer to lead the visual style and composition of our projects.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of lighting, camera techniques, and composition, as well as the technical skills needed to operate various types of camera equipment.
  • Candidate should be able to direct content production process to ensure that the visual narrative aligns with the Company’s tone and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Project Planning:

  • Develop production schedules, clear timelines, and budgets for video projects.
  • Coordinate pre-production activities, including scriptwriting, casting, location scouting, and equipment preparation.

Team Coordination:

  • Lead and manage a production team, including scriptwriters, videographers, editors, and sound technicians.
  • Assign tasks and monitor progress to ensure timely delivery of projects.

Script Development:

  • Collaborate with the content team to create accurate and engaging scripts for forex and financial education.
  • Review scripts to align with the Academy's branding and audience needs.

Quality Control:

  • Ensure that all produced content meets company objectives, brand standards, and technical specifications.
  • Address feedback from stakeholders and implement revisions as needed.

Resource Management:

  • Manage production resources, including equipment, props, costumes, software, and studio facilities.
  • Optimize workflow processes to enhance productivity and cost-effectiveness.

Visual Storytelling:

  • Develop the visual style and aesthetic for video content, ensuring it aligns with the academy's tone and audience expectations.
  • Use creative lighting, composition, and framing techniques to enhance video quality.

Camera Operation:

  • Operate cameras and other filming equipment to capture high-quality video footage.
  • Ensure smooth and dynamic camera movements to maintain viewer engagement.

Technical Expertise:

  • Set up and operate lighting equipment to achieve desired effects for studio and on-location shoots.
  • Maintain knowledge of the latest filming technologies and techniques to enhance production value.

Post-Production Collaboration:

  • Work closely with crew members to ensure footage is assembled in line with the creative vision.
  • Provide input on color grading, visual effects, and sound design to finalize videos.

Equipment Maintenance:

  • Regularly inspect and maintain filming equipment to ensure it functions optimally.
  • Recommend upgrades or replacements for outdated or underperforming gear.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Film, Media Production, Visual Arts, or a related field
  • Minimum of 4 years’ proven experience in video production management and cinematography.
  • Strong understanding of scriptwriting, storytelling, and commercial production.
  • Proficiency in camera operation, lighting techniques, and production equipment.
  • Expertise in video editing and color grading software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro).
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects.
  • Knowledge of forex trading and financial markets is a strong advantage.

Salary
N250,000 - N400,000 per month.
