Job Summary

• We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Truck & Car Mechanic to handle the diagnosis, repair, servicing, and preventive maintenance of a diverse fleet, including Sino, Hyundai, and Howo trucks, as well as Toyota 4Runner and Highlander cars.
• The ideal candidate must be technically proficient in diesel and petrol engine repairs, electrical systems, braking systems, and transmission maintenance. 
• This role requires a hands-on professional who can troubleshoot complex mechanical issues and ensure maximum fleet uptime and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
Vehicle Inspection & Diagnostics:

• Conduct routine inspections, diagnostics, and troubleshooting on trucks and cars.
• Identify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults using modern diagnostic tools.
• Ensure timely repairs to minimize vehicle downtime.

Repair & Preventive Maintenance:

• Perform preventive maintenance, servicing, and repairs on diesel and petrol engines, transmission systems, braking systems, and electrical components.
• Ensure all vehicles are in optimal working condition and meet safety standards.
• Recommend and implement best practices for vehicle maintenance to prevent breakdowns.

Breakdown & Emergency Repairs:

• Respond promptly to vehicle breakdowns and execute on-site or workshop repairs.
• Ensure quick turnaround time to keep vehicles operational with minimal delays.

Workshop Operations & Spare Parts Management:

• Manage tools, equipment, and spare parts inventory to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist in sourcing high-quality spare parts and optimizing stock levels.
• Maintain proper documentation of all repairs and servicing activities.

Compliance & Safety Standards:

• Ensure all repairs and maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and environmental guidelines.
• Adhere to company policies and government transport regulations.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Technical Certificate HND / Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a mechanic, preferably in fleet maintenance or workshop management.
• Expertise in maintaining Sino, Hyundai, and Howo trucks, as well as Toyota 4Runner and Highlander cars.
• Proficiency in diesel and petrol engine repairs, electrical troubleshooting, braking systems, and transmission maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic codes.
• Experience using modern diagnostic tools and ECU scanning software.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Salary
N300,000 - N400,000 / Month.
