About the Role
- We are seeking a skilled Elevator Technician to install, maintain, and repair elevators & escalators.
- The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, ensuring all equipment operates safely and efficiently in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Installing new elevators, including assembling components like cables, control systems, and doors.
- Performing routine inspections and maintenance to ensure equipment operates reliably and safely.
- Diagnosing and repairing faults in elevator systems which may involve mechanical, electrical, or electronic issues.
- Modernizing and upgrading older elevator systems to meet current safety standards and technological advancements.
- Responding to emergency breakdowns and resolving issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Consulting blueprints and manufacturer instructions to correctly install new elevator systems.
- Testing newly installed equipment to ensure proper operation and compliance with safety regulations.
- Conducting regular maintenance, such as lubricating moving parts and replacing worn components.
- Keeping detailed records of maintenance work, system performance, and repairs.
- Communicating effectively with clients, building managers, and team members regarding the status of the elevator systems.
Requirement
- Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree / HND or OND qualification
