Job Title: Accountant

Location: Ibadan Oyo
Employment Type: Full-time
Reprts to: HOD Accounts department and/or MD

Job Summary

  • Our client is seeking an experienced Accountant to manage her financial operations, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and provide strategic financial insights to support business growth.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in accounting, proficiency in Peachtree accounting software, and excellent analytical and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and provide recommendations to management
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements
  • Manage and maintain the company's Peachtree accounting software system, including data entry, reporting, and troubleshooting
  • Prepare and submit financial reports to management and relevant stakeholders
  • Coordinate with external auditors and ensure compliance with accounting and tax regulations
  • Provide financial guidance and support to management and other departments.
  • Inventory and stock management

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a manufacturing or agricultural industry
  • Proficient in Peachtree accounting software, with experience in data entry, reporting, and troubleshooting
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • ACA, ACCA, or other relevant professional certifications will be an added advantage
  • Should reside along Ojoo/Moniya axis.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in financial planning and budgeting
  • Knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and regulations.
