Summary

• We are seeking to hire a Chief Finance Officer to join its dynamic team.
• The role holder will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s financial strategy and driving long-term profitability and sustainable growth.
• The ideal candidate must possess deep expertise in the fintech industry, particularly in financial services such as lending, payments, investment, and merchant payments. 
• Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the CFO will lead the finance function, ensuring financial stewardship, governance, risk management, and operational efficiency.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of financial strategies that support the company's overall business goals in fintech, including lending, payments, and investment.
• Partner with senior management to provide financial insights and recommendations to shape business decisions, drive growth, and optimize profitability.
• Ensure the financial sustainability of the business while driving operational excellence and innovation.
• Oversee financial forecasting, budgeting, and reporting activities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to the Managing Director and the Board.
• Perform financial analysis for existing and new products, including fintech payment solutions and lending services, to support data-driven decisions.
• Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements, including tax laws, financial reporting standards, and Central Bank regulations.
• Drive the development of policies, procedures, and controls that align with best practices in financial governance.

Person Specification

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CFA, or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial leadership roles, with at least 5 years in the fintech industry.
• Proven track record in leading finance functions in fintech businesses, preferably in lending, payments, or investment sectors.
• Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance in the financial services/fintech industry.
• Experience with investor relations, fundraising, and capital markets.
• Demonstrated success in managing complex financial models and forecasting in a dynamic, tech-driven environment.

Salary
N48,400,000 annually (gross).
