Job Summary
- This is an Abuja-based, full-time, on-site role for a Finance Manager.
- The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the company’s financial reporting, ensuring accuracy of accounting records, and supporting financial decision-making processes.
- This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of accounting principles and regulations.
- The Finance Manager will play a key role in financial planning, internal controls, and compliance while
collaborating with various departments.
- In addition to the function-specific competencies and experience, the ideal candidates must be astute professionals, and good team players, with innovative mindset needed to play in a technology-driven business environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with IFRS/FRCN and company policies.
- Oversee general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and monthly closing processes.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
- Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and improvement opportunities.
- Support external and internal audits by providing necessary documentation and insights.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, corporate policies, and financial reporting requirements.
- Manage fixed asset accounting, accruals, and depreciation schedules.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and controls.
- Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and best practices.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff
Qualification, Experience, Skills and Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in any field.
- ICAN or equivalent professional accounting qualification is compulsory.
- Minimum of 7+ years of accounting experience.
- Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with Accounting Software (like SAGE) and financial data analytics.
- Proficiency in the use of basic Information Technology tools like Microsoft Excel, Power Point, etc.
- Experience with financial analysis, reconciliations, and internal controls.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
