Job Description

• We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Safety Officer to join our team in a manufacturing setup. 
• The Safety Officer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing safety programs, ensuring compliance with local and federal safety regulations. 
• This role is crucial in promoting a culture of safety within the organization and minimizing workplace hazards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of the workplace.
• Investigate accidents and incidents, preparing detailed reports and recommendations for improvements.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees at all levels.
• Collaborate with management to ensure safety policies and procedures are implemented and updated as necessary.
• Monitor and assess safety performance metrics and suggest actionable improvements.
• Act as the point of contact for regulatory agencies during safety inspections.
• Maintain safety documentation and records as required by law.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• 2 - 3 years of experience in a safety officer role within a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of local and federal safety regulations and compliance requirements.
• Certification in Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) or equivalent is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze data, prepare reports, and present findings effectively.
• Proficient in using safety management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
