Job Summary

  • The Store Keeper will beresponsible for managing inventory, maintaining records of stock levels, and ensuring the efficient handling of goods within a store or warehouse. The store keeper will bereceiving, inspecting, storing, and issuing materials while ensuring proper documentation and compliance with company policies. The Store Keeper will also plays a key role in inventory control, minimizing waste, and supporting overall store operations.

Job Description
Responsibilities:

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming goods against invoices or purchase orders.
  • Organize and store inventory in designated locations to ensure easy retrieval.
  • Maintain accurate stock records, update inventory databases, and generate reports.
  • Issue materials and supplies as needed, ensuring proper documentation.
  • Conduct regular stock audits and cycle counts to prevent shortages or overstocking.
  • Monitor inventory levels and place replenishment orders when necessary.
  • Ensure proper labeling and storage conditions for all goods.
  • Follow safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized storage area.
  • Assist in disposing of damaged or expired inventory according to company guidelines.

Requirements

  • A Degree in logistics or supply chain management or related field.
  • Proven experience as a storekeeper, inventory officer, or similar role.
  • Knowledge of inventory management and basic accounting principles.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy items as needed.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
