Worknigeria - Our client, a construction and Real Estate company, is recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: CAD Designer / Drafter

Location: Iyana Ipaja, Lagos

Key Responsibilities
Advanced Design and Drafting:

• Review project plans, specifications, and related documents to determine project scope and requirements.
• Work closely with engineers, project managers, and interdisciplinary teams to translate technical concepts into precise buildable designs
• Develop and prepare detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings, schematics, and blueprints based on engineering specifications.
• Act as the primary CAD resource for assigned projects, ensuring deliverables meet deadlines and quality expectations

Quality Assurance and Standards:

• Perform self-checks and peer reviews to ensure design accuracy and compliance with CAD standards, project specifications, and client requirements
• Maintain consistency in graphical presentation and technical documentation across projects

Process Improvement and Innovation:

• Stay current with the latest software and design trends, implementing new techniques where applicable
• Assist in standardizing design templates, processes, and procedures across projects, maintain a library of standard design templates
• Guide junior team members, offering mentorship and technical training as needed

Requirements
Preferred Qualifications:

• BSc / HND Degree in CAD, Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
• Extensive practical experience will be considered in lieu of formal education
• 10+ years of relevant experience in AutoCAD with focus in structural design
• Ability to work Monday to Friday from 12pm – 8pm WAT

Technical Skills:

• Strong familiarity with structural engineering design criteria, codes, and standards
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Advanced proficiency in construction software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, SolidWorks, Navisworks, Revit, Tekla structures or equivalent tools
• Experience with structural analysis software such as Robot Structural Analysis, RISA-3D, Advance Steel, SDS/2, STAAD.Pro, SAP 2000 is a plus
• Experience with Adobe products, and Microsoft Office Suite
