We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Associate Counsel

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice and guidance to the organization on various legal matters, including contracts, regulations, and compliance.
  • Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents to ensure they align with the company's interests and legal requirements.
  • Assist in managing and overseeing legal disputes, litigation, and other legal actions involving the company.
  • Ensure the company's compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Conduct legal research to stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and legal trends affecting the organization.
  • Maintain accurate and organized legal documentation, contracts, and records.
  • Identify and assess potential legal risks and provide strategies for mitigation
  • Writing of letters to clients and behalf of clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Law (LL.B.) from a reputable institution.
  • Qualified and licensed to practice law in Nigeria.
  • 2-5 years in active litigation.
  • Preparing of court processes and court pleadings.
  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian laws, regulations, and legal procedures.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with less supervision of all cases assigned.
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • High level of integrity and ethical conduct.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to speak with good command of English language.
  • Must be a computer-literate and can write professional business letter with grammatical accuracy.

Salary
N200,000 - N250,000 monthly (plus Benefits).
