Brilliant Performance Solutions Limited - Our client is a property developer who currently has its operational office at Opebi in Ikeja, Lagos.

They are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Estate Surveyor and Valuer

Location: Opebi, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Purpose of the Role

  • The Estates Officer will support the Head of Estates to deliver the Estates Strategy and develop the fundamentals of good estates management for school across the trust. 
  • Working closely with schools and the Head of Estates to ensure estates management and health & safety are fit for purpose and premises operations comply with relevant legislation. 
  • Ensure sufficient support and cover is in place for all premises related activities.

Job Responsibilities for Estates Management

  • Act as the key point of contact for all operational premises matter, offering support, guidance and expert advice as required.
  • Form and develop strong working relationships with site personnel through regular on site meetings.
  • Lead of training and staff development of premises staff, bringing colleagues together to develop a network of site personnel in each hub.
  • Ensure a good working knowledge of each building to ensure that business continuity is maintained during emergency events or times of unplanned absence.
  • Support the Company to develop and maintain their site development plans, planned maintenance schedules and decoration programmes to ensure buildings are maintained to a high standard.
  • Support the company with planning a schedule of works from audits and ensuring remedial actions are completed in a timely manner.
  • Ensure contractor checks and pre-works arrangements are in place in line with trust procedures.
  • Act as the key point of contact for major buildings projects, liaising with the contractors and consultants as required.
  • Assist with the implementation and ongoing maintenance of the estate management software.
  • Support the company to develop sustainable methods of working, through energy reduction, effective waste management and effective building management systems.
  • Support the company’s leaders to ensure soft services, such as grounds maintenance, cleaning services and other outsourced contracts are providing value for money and are fit for purpose.
  • Attend contract management meetings and carry out audit inspections for soft services as required.

Health & Safety:

  • Work with the Head of Estates to ensure all aspects of health & safety compliance are in place and best practice.

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess an HND or BSc in Estate Management
  • The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 3 years experience. 
  • Membership of the relevant professional body will be an advantage,
