As a result of our Corporate Transformation Strategy that will lead to rapid growth and expansion, we seek to recruit passionate, competent, committed and result-oriented person to fill the following position:

Job Title: Head, Finance & Accounts

Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Summary of Role
The Head, Finance & Accounts (HFA) directs the day-to-day financial activities of Company and has responsibility for overall Company financial policies and objectives. He/she ensures the security and stability of Company’s assets and funds and identifies and secures additional financial resources to promote Company’s growth and business peculiaries. The incumbent ensures the formulation of the operating budgets for the company and regularly liaises with other officers on administrative and routine operational office issues.

Key Accountabilities
  • Provide counsel to Company’s Managing Director/CEO on issues relating to financial and tax considerations of investments and other business transactions.
  • Develops long-range strategies to establish and maintain the financial self-sufficiency of company.
  • Establishes Company’s accounting systems and procedures and ensures they are up-to-date and in compliance with all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Provides advice and review for compliance with appropriate statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Manages and tracks Company’s fund, other assets and investments and periodically issues reports on its current as well as projected financial stability/condition.
  • Identifies sources of financing to expand the scope of Company’s business opportunities.
  • To the extent possible, minimize Company’s tax liabilities.
  • Prepares monthly written report to management and Company’s Board of Directors on the financial standing and conditions of the Company.
  • Facilitates the transition from the current Nigeria Accounting Standards Board (NASB) standards to the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Performs such other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Managing Director/CEO or by the Board of Directors.

Skills and Competencies
  • Ability to deliver within tight timeframes, cope well with pressure and solve complex organizational problems.
  • Proven business management capabilities (including leadership assertiveness, integrity, personnel/team development, influencing skills, communication, etc)
  • ICT Industry business exposure
  • The person must be passionate about achieving great business results, and must demonstrate high Emotional Intelligence (EI) as well as strong analytical skills.

Qualifications and Experience
  • A degree in Accounting or a business related field from a reputable university
  • ACA or its equivalent
  • MBA is an added advantage
  • Minimum of 8 years experience with at least 4 years at senior level
  • Demonstrated leadership and management ability in a complex organization
  • Sound business and financial judgment with problem-solving abilities.
  • Concrete IFRS Knowledge
  • Working Knowledge and experience in transiting into a new system and practice
  • Experience in a listed company is an advantage
  • Not older than 35 years.
