Role Summary

  • This role will provide leadership and direction for the company across its business verticals to drive growth, profitability and sustainability. 
  • The MD/CEO will also oversee all aspects of the business, ensuring alignment with corporate goals, industry best practices, and governance requirements

Summary of Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the company’s long-term strategic vision, goals, and objectives in line with the Group’s strategic plans. 
  • Institute an effective operating structure to support the achievement of strategic objectives and ensure alignment with regulatory provisions. 
  • Provide direction in the design and implementation of an effective framework to build effective relationships and drive stakeholder engagement. 
  • Develop and Implement business-ready solutions to support the overall mandate of the business – securities trading, commodities trading, corporate brokerage, shares dematerialisation, etc. 
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation; lead employee engagement, leadership development, and succession planning initiatives. 

Required Experience and Capabilities 

  • Bachelor's Degree and a master's degree/MBA in Finance or related discipline 
  • Relevant professional certification, e.g., Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers 
  • Minimum of 15 years’ experience with at least 10 years’ experience in the financial services industry and 5 years relevant experience in a senior management role.
  • Sound understanding of the securities business and capital markets.
  • A dynamic and result-driven individual with a track record of success in the securities/capital markets.  
  • Superior strategic thinking/visioning abilities as well as strong stakeholder management skills 
  • High level of credibility, ethical standards, and integrity.
