Job Description
- We are seeking an ambitious and results-oriented Area Sales Manager with 4-8 years of FMCG sales experience to manage and expand our presence in the northern region, including Kano, Katsina, Yola, Damaturu, Maiduguri, and Sokoto.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in biscuits and sweets sales and will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing distribution channels, and leading a team of sales representatives to achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets in the assigned region (Kano, Katsina, Yola, Damaturu, Maiduguri, Sokoto).
- Manage and expand the distribution network, ensuring products are available in key retail outlets and market segments.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key distributors, retailers, and customers to enhance brand visibility and increase market share.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
- Lead, train, and motivate the sales team to ensure high performance and achieve sales targets.
- Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and business updates to senior management.
- Ensure proper execution of sales promotional activities and campaigns.
- Monitor and manage stock levels to ensure timely and effective product delivery to customers.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and standards in all sales activities.
- Resolve any customer complaints or issues in a professional and efficient manner.
Qualifications and Requirements
- A minimum of 4-8 years of FMCG sales experience, with a strong focus on biscuits and sweets sales.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing sales teams effectively.
- In-depth knowledge of the northern Nigerian market, including the Kano, Katsina, Yola, Damaturu, Maiduguri, and Sokoto regions.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships.
- Highly self-motivated with excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field is preferred.
- A deep understanding of FMCG products, distribution channels, and retail dynamics.
Salary
N350,000 - N400,000 Monthly.
