We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Company Secretary / Immigration Lawyer 

Location: Ikate Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities
Legal and Compliance Management:

  • Oversee all legal aspects of business operations, ensuring full compliance with corporate laws and regulations.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and MOUs related to business operations, employee engagements, and partnerships.
  • Provide legal advice on business structuring, tax, employment laws, and industry regulations to mitigate risks.
  • Manage regulatory filings, licensing, and corporate governance documentation.
  • Handle dispute resolution and liaise with external legal counsel where necessary.

Immigration and Expatriate Management:

  • Process work permits, visas, and residency applications for expatriate staff, including exotic dancers.
  • Ensure all immigration documentation is up to date and compliant with government regulations.
  • Liaise with immigration authorities to resolve any issues and secure necessary approvals.
  • Provide guidance on immigration policies affecting business operations and employee relocations.

Business Advisory & Risk Management:

  • Develop legal strategies to protect business interests and prevent potential legal disputes.
  • Stay updated on laws affecting the hospitality and entertainment industry, including labor laws, taxation, and compliance requirements.
  • Conduct internal legal audits to ensure all business activities adhere to the law.

Requirements

  • LL.B (Bachelor of Laws) and BL (Barrister at Law) certification (Master’s Degree is a plus).
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in corporate law, business compliance, or immigration law.
  • Strong understanding of Nigerian corporate governance, employment laws, and immigration policies.
  • Experience handling expatriate work permits and visas.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
  • Exceptional negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Must be discreet, professional, and highly organized.
