OTL Downstream Development in Africa (OTL Africa) is a Nigerian based pan-African downstream oil and gas initiative.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Programme Executive - Business Development / Communications / Research

Locations: Abuja & Lagos

Summary

  • These persons will be responsible for implementing the day-to-day business /communication/ research strategies within the organization.

Primary Responsibilities (Includes)

  • Tele marketing
  • Staying up to speed with core or related industry information.
  • Build and maintain high-level contact with current and prospective clients and other business and project partners. 
  • Work with team to develop relevant proposals 
  • Proactively create or identify channels and opportunities for accessing stakeholders and information on market and creative trends and deploy business strategy where necessary.
  • Support the organization’s data retention and management strategy. 
  • Jointly review, update and maintain promotional materials inventory
  • Monitor all internal and relevant external communication channels - including but not limited to official social media handles
  • Attend planning meetings, prepare routine reports
  • Support research and ICT initiatives of the organization.

Requirements

  • First Degree in any discipline from an accredited institution in a relevant field
  • Requisite certifications & a post graduate degree is an advantage 
  • At least 5 years demonstrated experience in a similar role or as team lead 
  • Knowledge of the midstream and downstream energy industry in Nigeria & Africa is an added advantage. 
  • Familiarity with energy policies 
  • Project Management or requisite certification and/or a post graduate degree is an advantage 
  • Knowledge of the workings and policies of energy & petroleum industries in Nigeria & Africa is an advantage.

Skill Set:

  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
  • Information-savvy - (abreast with current national and global affairs, politics & policies) 
  • Business, research, publishing and presentation skills 
  • Proficiency in digital media navigation and deployment 
  • Business Development 
  • Project Management 
  • Bi-or multi-lingual skills (English, French and/or Portuguese) is an added advantage.
