Howbury School is a Creche, Nursery and Primary School with campuses in Maryland, Lagos and Ota, Ogun State. The Schools are located in very serene environment. Job Description

  • We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Key Stage 2 Teacher to join our educational team. 
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching to students in Key Stage 2, fostering a positive learning environment, and contributing to the overall development of our pupils.

Key Responsibilities
Teaching and Learning:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the diverse learning needs of Key Stage 2 students.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to promote student progress in line with curriculum objectives.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methods to present key ideas and ensure understanding.
  • Employ effective questioning techniques to stimulate critical thinking and assess student comprehension.

Assessment and Reporting:

  • Regularly assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records of student achievements and areas for development.
  • Prepare and present reports on student progress to parents and school leadership.

Classroom Management:

  • Establish and maintain a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that promotes positive behavior and respect.
  • Implement the school's behavior management policies to ensure a productive learning atmosphere.
  • Foster strong relationships with students, supporting their social and emotional development.

Collaboration and Professional Development:

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan and coordinate curriculum delivery and school activities.
  • Participate in regular staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
  • Engage with parents and the wider school community to support student learning and well-being.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching Key Stage 2 students, with a strong understanding of the curriculum and assessment methods.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
