We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Financial Controller

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a skilled female Financial Controller to oversee treasury, taxation, and financial accounting functions.
  • The ideal candidate will manage financial assets, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive financial planning and analysis.

Core Responsibilities
Treasury:

  • Manage cash flow, debt, and corporate investments.
  • Develop and implement financial forecasting models.
  • Monitor financial investments and advise on reserves and investment policies.
  • Research financing alternatives and structure debt arrangements.
  • Ensure corporate liquidity and financial stability.

Taxation:

  • Liaise with tax authorities, auditors, and regulators.
  • Ensure timely remittance of VAT, PAYE, CIT, pension funds, etc.
  • Prepare and file audited financial statements.

Financial Accounting:

  • Prepare financial statements in line with IFRS standards.
  • Develop and consolidate company budgets.
  • Manage assets, liabilities, and monthly management accounts.
  • Conduct bank reconciliations, payroll administration, and compliance audits.
  • Maintain financial controls, policies, and procedures.

Qualification & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree (minimum of 2.1) in Accounting or related field.
  • ICAN, ACCA, or ACA certification required.
  • 4 - 6 years of experience in Accounting, Financial Reporting, or Finance Management.
  • Minimum of 2 years of management experience.
  • Experience in the Oil & Gas industry is an advantage.
  • Age: 25–35 years.
  • Gender: Female (for gender balance).

Requirements & Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of capital markets, accounting, and business finance.
  • Expertise in Financial Reporting, Treasury, and IFRS.
  • Proficiency in financial principles, taxation, and commercial law.
  • Advanced Excel and Microsoft Suite skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure with attention to detail.
